Ciara, originally from the Emerald Isle, is passionate about providing you with the best care and helping you achieve your goals! Ciara has vast experience in anything musculoskeletal, life, or sports-related. If further care is needed, she will refer you to some of the best specialists in the area. She specializes in dry needling, Pilates, strength & conditioning, as well as providing you with a good giggle. As a Gaelic footballer, AFL player, triathlete, professional dance (after a few drinks on a Saturday night) and Pilates lover, she understands what the body needs.

 

Working for nearly a decade as a physiotherapist, Ciara has worked in private practice all over the world, including Boston, USA, Les Mills in Auckland CBD, NZ, and for the past four years in Sydney. She has worked with athletes from Collegiate track & field, American Football, and basketball teams in Boston, the New Zealand Warriors NRL academy team, plus Gaelic football, hurling, AFL, and soccer teams all across the world.

Physiotherapy

Following an initial assessment, where any injuries or concerns are identified, she will work with you to provide you with the a treatment plan. Treatments will include evidence based hands on therapy including massage, dry needling and manual therapy as well as focused exercise prescription including mobility & strength. Throughout the entire process She will focus on educating you, while making sure to treat the underlying cause of any issue you have, not just the symptom!

Functional Strength Assessment

Using state of the art AxIT dynamometry software, a full body functional assessment can be done to analyse power and strength throughout your body. Using this testing research, a better training plan can be provided, after identifying imbalances and weaknesses. Giving real time biofeedback, the technology can be used to track your progress, with your data stored safely for reanalysis. Equipment previously only used in elite sports or research labs is now available to you!

Functional Strength/ Personal Training

Go to the gym but don’t know what to do? Do you do the same thing over and over? Going to the gym 5 times a week doing HIIT classes but don’t feel any stronger? Let Ciara use her experience to design a functional strength & conditioning training programme specific to you that sees you excel and achieve your goals- Whether you are training for an iron man or just want to be able to play with your kids.

Clinical Pilates

Pilates is a low impact form of exercise designed to help you enhance balance, core strength, mobility, flexibility, posture and pelvic floor musculature. Ciara has nearly a decade of years experience as a STOTT trained Pilates instructor. She has taught one on one, small group and a range of different teams including Gaelic football, hurling, soccer, Rugby, swim and athletic teams. 

Clinical Pilates focuses around a more individualised approach, addressing your injury, concerns as well  as any of your fitness goals. 

The Studio

Once you enter the clinic, Ciara's main goal is for you to feel at home. Then head downstairs to the gym and clinic space to get your sweat on. In the studio lies all the fitness and gym equipment you will need to become your own superstar! With state of the art AxIT dynamometry technology available to you, your treatment  and training will be elevated to the next level.
